Shack in the Back BBQ began as a long-held dream of the Sivells family, one that finally became a reality in April 2006. What started as a weekend hobby quickly grew into a full-time, seven-day-a-week business offering award-winning BBQ and full-service catering for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions of all kinds.
Food was great! It was a smaller spot, but it was cozy. It was the first time I had turkey ribs and they were awesome. Their BBQs are also great, my mom enjoyed the mustard based bbq while I enjoyed the hot bbq. I would definitely come back. The waitress was super sweet and the food came out fresh and quick!
Great old school atmosphere and really good food. Nice country setting for a great meal no matter the time of day, gotta be the best in the area and the servers actually care about your experience. Definitely a must try if you're gonna be anywhere close by!!!!!!
You catered at a school event this evening. First time we had your food. Wow. So so good. I got the chicken and pork, to take home after. Was still super good a hr later We talked about was the event worth the trip. Well you gained a set a new customers. We will be visiting the store front on a regular basis now.
Simply the best around ! No competition! I've tried many others local , near Kentucky , And this place is the Best ! Friendly staff , fresh delicious pulled pork sandwiches and amazing Burgoo! With the new location offering ample parking now and even a patio to enjoy a sunny day , this place should be a staple for anyone wanting the best BBQ at a very reasonable price for what they serve!
